“Yellowstone” Star to Speak at Gala in East Texas

If you are a "Yellowstone" fan, you might want to make the short drive to Tyler this spring to meet the star of the popular series.

Kevin Costner is set to speak at UT Tyler. The Evening with Kevin Costner is scheduled for Saturday April 2 at 8:30 p.m.

What Will Visitors Get to Hear During the Costner Visit?

Costner will share stories from many of his popular movies. He will also talk about his many visits to Texas.

This event is part of the 25^th anniversary celebration for the University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Executive Director of the Center, Susan Thomae-Morphew tells CBS 19:

We are excited to finally announce the UT Tyler Cowan Center’s event of the season. And we are so pleased to welcome Hollywood’s incomparable Kevin Costner to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary.

Not only is Costner the star of the biggest Western drama series on tv these days, but he also is the winner of two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, an Emmy Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. You know Costner for so many blockbuster hits including Field of Dreams, JFK, The Bodyguard, Bull Durham, The Untouchables, Dances with Wolves and so many more.

This will be a black-tie gala to benefit the Cowan Center Endowment. The event will also include an auction and a gourmet dinner.
