
Legendary Singer Percy Sledge Dies
Percy Sledge, the soul singer whose vocals soared over the iconic hit "When a Man Loves a Woman," died this morning at his home in Baton Rouge.
Sledge was 73, reports KATC.com. While the singer scored a number of chart-topping singles, including "Warm and Tender Love," "It Tears Me Up" and "Take Time to Know Her," he is best known for his debut single, "When a Man Loves a Woman."
