As the squeeze on the Louisiana state budget continues to tighten, lawmakers are giving serious thought to allowing the citizens of our fair state to vote on an amendment that legalize the recreational use of marijuana. Jesse McCormick, head of the Louisiana Cannabis Association says the state may want to "look at a product that's out there and an industry a lot of other states are already benefiting from." However, don't rush out to purchase that new bong just yet, simply getting such an amendment on the ballot would require a 2/3rds vote from both the House and the Senate.
