Volunteers searching for the seven remaining missing Seacor crew members found eight life jackets and three hard hats yesterday. It is believed that these are items that could have been worn by the men on the power lift boat.

The items were discovered on Sunday while volunteers were searching the waters from Cocodrie to Fourchon and Whiskey Island.

Scott Daspit, the father of missing crew member Dylan Daspit of Lafayette, confirmed to KLFY that the items were brought to shore during ongoing search and rescue efforts.

The United Cajun Navy took to Facebook last night to ask for more volunteers.

The volunteer group is asking for people on foot and those with boats and airboats. They say at least one plane will be flying today along with some drones, however, they need more volunteers. Additionally, some cadaver dogs will be coming as well.

Ronnie Adams from "Swamp People" has been one of the many volunteers helping lead the search and rescue over the last several days. He took to Facebook yesterday to give an update.

"Please guys, we need as much help as you can give," Adams says in his Facebook Live. "Please, these families need closure. If you know anybody who has a boat who is free tomorrow, we can use you. The fuel will be covered. Please."

During the video above you can see Scott Daspit say there was a mile-long line of boats yesterday morning. He estimated that more than 250 miles of coastline have been searched thus far.

"I'm overwhelmed at the love and support we've been getting. I'm just so thankful for everybody," he said.

Daspit says they'll get started at 7:00 am today in the Chauvin/Cocodrie area. The address is 8239 LA 56 Chauvin, LA 70344, which is the Harbor Light Marina in Cocodrie. Do expect a line and if you have gas to donate, please bring it.

"We've got hope. We found some things today. We've got hope," Adams said.

It has now been nearly two weeks since 19 crew members were aboard the Seacor Power lift boat when it capsized off Port Fourchon. Six were rescued alive while 13 were initially unaccounted for. In the hours and days following the disaster, six bodies were recovered, leaving seven still missing.
