Life Air Rescue Helicopter Crashes in Shreveport
A Life Air Rescue helicopter has crash landed behind Metro Aviation in Shreveport off Hawn Ave.
The crash itself was non-fatal, though three people -- the helicopter pilot and two mechanics -- were injured and taken to University Health.
According to The Times, Shreveport Fire Department spokesperson Fred Sanders said Simmons Dr. will be closed as firefighters and a hazardous materials crew deal the crash, which is being considered a HazMat situation due to the spilled fuel.
