Lionel Richie's new album "Tuskegee" is making it's way to #1 on the Billboard album chart. If "Tuskegee" is able to make to #1, it would mean his first #1 since 1986! 1986 was the year "Dancing on the Ceiling" was released. That album contained the hit title track as well as "Ballerina Girl," "Love Will Conquer All" and, of course, the Oscar-winning hit "Say You, Say Me."

Last week, the album debuted at a strong #2 and even though it currently rests at #4 it is poised to take the #1 spot with the special that ran on CBC Friday night that featured his duet with Kenny Rogers along with some young country stars. That special scored  over 7 million views and really pushed album sales.
