Local Bluesman Gets Hometown Celebration

A local bluesman has been getting a lot of national attention and love. Now, he's getting a lot more back at home. Winnsboro native Robert Finley not only has a national recording contract and works hand-in-hand with Black Keys mastermind Dan Auerbach, but most recently he's been featured as a contestant on the national television show "America's Got Talent".

Back in his hometown of Winnsboro, to celebrate his success and help spread his message of love, they are throwing a huge party called "Robert Finley Fun Day". The event will take place August 10th from 5 pm to 9 pm near the Princess Theatre in Winnsboro.

Robert Finley and the Platinum Band will be performing live. There will also be autograph and picture opportunities. Concertgoers are encourage to bring lawn chairs and coolers. The event is free to the public.

In addition to the celebration, Finley will be returning to AGT next month.
