‘Fuller House’ Season 5 Trailer Drops Without Aunt Becky Actress Lori Loughlin
The Season 5 trailer for Netflix’s Fuller House has been released, with one noticeably missing cast member: Lori Loughlin.
The 55-year-old actress is currently awaiting trail for her alleged college bribery scandal. She and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering charges this past April.
The new trailer features all of the lead original cast members from Full House, aside from Loughlin, along with the new characters from the spinoff show.
The new season will pick up shortly after where Season 4 left off: awaiting the birth of Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Jimmy’s (Adam Hagenbuch) daughter via their surrogate, Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).
Loughlin’s character, Becky Katsopolis, had a storyline on the show that mainly consisted of her playing the role of wife, mother, aunt and a co-host to Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) on their morning television show.
Many of Loughlin's Fuller House co-stars have spoken publicly about her absence from the show. Most recently, Barber shared her disappointment about Loughlin's absence from the final episode.
“It was really sad, and we could feel her absence,” Barber told People. “It just felt like there was a hole in the whole season but also in that final episode. She should’ve been there, and I’m sorry that she wasn’t.”
Fuller House Season 5 is available to stream on Netflix beginning Friday, December 6.
