It's the time of year when even the dogs don't mind going outdside and taking a little walk.  Fall... my favorite time of the year.  As temperatures begin to drop, you will start smelling fireplaces in the neigborhood, pumpkins begin appearing in peoples' lawn decorations, and of course, there are Christmas displays are already up in the stores.

But if you want to enjoy any of this, you have to be quick in Louisiana. We seem to go from summer to winter in the wink of a squirrel's eye.  If you check the Farmer's Almanac, the best time to see the beautiful leaves changing colors in Louisiana is November 2nd through the 11th.

And like the commercial says, here in north Louisiana, the forest is right in your own backyard.  Louisiana boasts 21 state parks across the state.  If you want to grab the family for a fun little jaunt, there are several state parks right in north Louisiana that you can take a "One Tank Trip" and enjoy the fall leaves.
