After driving over 200 miles, James Regan did not meet the 13-year-old he was expecting.

There is a special place in the pits of Hell for men like James Regan. Regan, 36 years old from Acadia Parish, began talking with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl back in July. Much like Dateline: To Catch a Predator, Regan was thankfully not talking with a 13-year-old girl online. instead he was speaking with a decoy from the professional watch group Creep Watchers.

Quickly, the conversation between James Regan and the decoy from Creep Watchers turned into something extreme, and very much illegal. In late July, Regan sent explicit images of himself to the supposed 13-year-old. Who received those explicit images? An undercover officer with the Oak Grove Police Department.

Oak Grove Police Chief Lewis Russell says, "The watch group was able to introduce my officer’s profile to Mr. Regan, and immediately Regan went to soliciting the minor and sending sexually explicit photographs."

After sending those images, Regan set-up a meeting with the 13-year-old. However, those investigating Regan didn't expect him to follow-through, considering that meant he would drive 230 miles to meet this underage girl.

Sure enough, to the surprise of the everyone involved, Regan made the disgusting trip to meet and have sex with a 13-year-old. The police were able to conduct a routine traffic stop before Regan made it to the meet-up spot.

He was immediately booked on an outstanding warrant for indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor. A search of his car found sexually related paraphernalia which shows intent. His phone also contained child pornography.

Regan is currently being held without bond.
