Louisiana Ticket Lays Claim To $10,000 in Mega Millions Drawing

I think the only thing better than waking up to a nice hot cup of coffee on a brisk morning like this one would be waking up to that cup of coffee while holding a lottery ticket that's worth $10,000. Chances are one lucky Louisiana resident is doing just that this morning.

According to the Louisiana Lottery website, a ticket sold in Louisiana matched four of the white ball numbers and the Mega Ball in last night's Mega Millions multi-state lottery game. The numbers drawn for November 12th were:

The winning ticket was sold in Alexandria at the Shop A Lot #24 on Calhoun Drive. The Mega Millions top prize was not claimed as no tickets sold matched all of the required numbers to take the jackpot.

Mega Millions game officials estimate that by the time the ping pong balls drop next Friday night the jackpot will be about $178 million dollars. If you managed to win that money you could probably afford to buy Alexandria, burn it down, and start over with something better but that might not be your dream.
