LSU and Florida State will meet this afternoon to start their best of three Super Regional Series at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. The winner will advance to the College World Series in Omaha.

The FSU Seminoles shocked the college baseball world by easily winning the Athens Regional, which included beating Nationally seeded Georgia on their home field.

LSU Tigers Coach Paul Mainieri says FSU hit .375 and smacked 10 home runs during their three games at Georgia, and he's hoping his young pitchers can cool those bats off this weekend. LSU will start Cole Henry this afternoon and Landon Marceaux will start Sunday. Florida will pitch junior lefty Drew Parrish on Saturday and 10-game winner CJ Van Eyk in game two.

LSU's Zach Watson will look to keep swinging with power this weekend. He slammed two home runs in LSU's Regional last weekend.

If the two teams split the weekend games, they will meet for a winner take all game on Monday night.
