The College Football Playoff system has never seen domination like this. Both the Oklahoma defense, and the record books, were under assault by Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow and his LSU offense all night at the Peach Bowl.

By the time the dust settled, Burrow and wide receiver Justin Jefferson had set records, and the Tigers beat Oklahoma 63-28 in the College Football Playoff semi-final game. The win sends LSU into the National Championship game in New Orleans.

Burrow tied the record for most touchdown passes in a bowl game, and broke the record for touchdown passes in a single half, when he threw seven touchdown passes in the first half of the game. Adding in his rushing touchdown, he was responsible for 8 touchdowns, which sets a record for most in a bowl game ever, and most in any SEC game ever. Burrow is the first player to have seven touchdown passes in a College Football Playoff game.

Jefferson caught 4 touchdowns, which is a Peach Bowl and College Football Semi-Final record. Those 4 grabs give him 18 touchdowns on the year, which is tied for the most in a season for an SEC receiver.

Bossier City's Terrace Marshall, Jr also caught two touchdowns from Burrow. The son of NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss, Thaddeus, grabbed a long touchdown from Burrow as well.
