The Louisiana Radio Networkis reporting that LSU defensive back Jalen Mills has been suspended indefinitely from the team after he allegedly punched a woman in the mouth.

Mills was arrested and booked early this morning on a charge of second degree battery. Baton Rouge Police Corporal Don Coppola says the incident happened on May 4 at an apartment complex.

"Upon further investigation, Mr. Mills was picked out of a line-up, not only by the victim, but also a witness," said Coppola.

Coppola said on the day the battery took place, the victim knocked on Mills' apartment door. Mills reportedly slammed the door in her face, so she knocked again, but no one answered.

"She turned around to walk away, she hears a voice behind her and she turns around and she is immediately punched in the mouth by Mills," he said.
