Today is the LSU spring football game, which brings a lot of excitement to fans of the purple and gold, but Head Coach Ed Orgeron has already warned that the offensive playbook for today will be basic.

However it is a chance to see the quarterbacks in action, incumbent starter Joe Burrow and his backup Myles Brennan.

Those QBs might be able to make the "basic" playbook look really good, because there are going to be a lot of injuries holding back members of the defense. Including some returning stars. Linebackers Jacob Phillips, Ray Thornton, and K'Lavon Chaisson will all be held out of the game, as well as Cornerback Kristian Fulton and Defensive End Rashard Lawrence.

But Tiger fans will be able get their first look at blue chip Freshman Cornerback Derek Stingley, Jr in action. He was rated as the nation’s number one prospect for the 2019 recruiting class.
