A new 'breed' of horse show is coming to northwest Louisiana and the series starts this Saturday, May 22, 2021, starting at 8 am at Holly Hill Equestrian Center in Benton, LA. The Mane Dream four horse show series is being organized by Donna Canales because so many other events in the area have been canceled due to facilities being made unavailable due to winter weather damage, the last vestiges of COVID-19, etc...

What's cool about these shows is that they're made to be fun, with divisions like Fabulous Over 40, To the Nines, Yardstick Club, Gettin' Fancy, and more. Entries are being taken through tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19th at 5 pm and you can either pay by division or for $150, you can enter any class you want, all day long! Entries received after the deadline will be charged a $20 late fee. Go to HorseShowsOnline.com. Ribbons will be awarded through 5th place. The champion for each division will receive a leather halter and the reserve champion will receive a saddle pad.

Here are the dates for the four-show series:

March 22, 2021 - Holly Hill Equestrian Center Benton, LA
June 12, 2021 - Hidden Acres Equestrian Center Stonewall, LA
July 3, 2021 - Hidden Acres Equestrian Center Stonewall, LA
August 7, 2021 - Holly Hill Equestrian Center Benton, LA

If you plan to join me and other area equestrian enthusiasts this weekend, make sure to fill out this form for the show announcer. Gee, I wonder who that might be! lol
