Miley Cyrus and Adam Sandler teamed up on The Tonight Show Monday night (October 2) for a moving performance in tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas concert shooting.

"This morning we woke up to the news of another senseless shooting. This time in Las Vegas," host Jimmy Fallon announced at the start of the episode. "In the face of tragedies and acts of terror, we need to remember that good still exists in this world. We’re here to entertain you tonight and that’s what we’re going to do."

The unlikely pair then performed an emotional country-tinged cover of Dido's "No Freedom," kicking off the Younger Now singer's five-day Tonight Show residency, "Miley Week."

On Sunday (October 1), at least 59 people attending a country music festival were killed by a lone gunman, with hundreds more injured.
