Over the past year, Shreveport-Bossier has faced all sorts of extreme weather. Hurricanes, ice storms, blizzard like conditions...you name it, we've seen. Now, if you were hoping for a mellow and calm spring, I've got some bad news for you. According to the National Weather Service, we have the possibility of some extreme weather in Shreveport this week.

The NWS says that Tuesday and Wednesday, there's a slight to enhanced risk of severe weather in our area. That means we could see golf ball sized hail, 80 mph winds and a medium tornado potential. The warnings go into effect Tuesday morning at 7 am and will stay in place through Thursday morning at 7 am.

Here's what the National Weather Service had to say about the current threat: "Severe storms are possible across the area Tuesday night, and the risk will increase after daybreak Wednesday, ending Wednesday evening. Large hail & damaging winds will be the main threats late Tuesday, but the risk for tornadoes will increase for Wednesday."

If there's any good news in all this, in the current projects, it would appear the at more extreme weather conditions will stay to our east. Monroe, Eldorado and that area have a higher likely hood that Shreveport of tornadoes and hail. But, there's still a chance we could see some locally. Below is the full breakdown from the NWS:
