MSN Names Best BBQ Joints in the US – 3 are in Louisiana

According to a list compiled by MSN, the Bayou State is on of the best spots to be if you love BBQ.  Out of 50 of the best BBQ joints in the United States, 3 of them are right here in Louisiana.  Cou-Yon's in Port Allen, Central City BBQ in New Orleans, and The Joint (also in New Orleans) all made the list of the countries finest BBQ restaurants.

If you are thinking that's a bit off a drive, even if you love the smoked/grilled stuff - you are in luck!  Seeing that we are situated right smack-dab in the center of the Ark-La-Tex (the beating heart of BBQ country as any sane person will tell you) - you're within striking distance of at least one of the quality spots featured on this list.

Naaman's Championship BBQ is about an hour and a half away in Texarkana. They're famous for their Cheesy Corn and THE Brisket Sandwich.

Personally, I think that Silver Star, Podnuh's, or Hickory Stick should have made the list.
