My Trip to Parris Island to See My Son JW for the First Time Since He Left for Marine Boot Camp [PHOTOS]

Last week, I made my way to the US Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, SC. It's really hard to describe the emotion. I am so proud of my son, JW Cox III. He is now a United States Marine.

The whole family made the trip to South Carolina. I flew in with my Mom from New Orleans. She was so excited to see her grandson graduate from Marine Basic Training. My father (her husband) was a Marine and was honored with the Bronze Star for saving lives at Okinawa.
