Eighty seven per cent of drivers engaged in some kind of risky behavior while driving in the last month according to AAA. This type of behavior carries with a heavy toll as between 30 to 40 thousand people in this country die in automobile wrecks every year. The main three, according to AAA spokesman Don Redman, are distracted driving, impaired driving and speeding, with distracted driving being the number one risky behavior drivers engage in. 42% of all drivers admit to texting while 70% admit to talking on the phone while driving. 48% admitted to speeding while an alarming 32% of drivers claimed they were guilty of driving while being tired enough to be dangerous to others. Only 13% admitted to being impaired while behind the wheel, whether through narcotics, alcohol, prescription drugs or even anti-depressants.
