A Canadian family is the focus of national attention this week after receiving a hate letter aimed at their autistic child. The letter, which was signed only "One pissed off mother," was aimed at mom Karla Begley and her autistic son Max. The author refers to the boy as "a nuisance" and "an animal kid."

Begley told Canada's CityNews that the anonymous letter was delivered to her mother's home in Newcastle. Her 13-year-old son Max stays there during the summer.

In it, the neighbor complains about the noises he makes when playing outside, going on to suggest he should be euthanized and that "whatever non retarded body parts he possesses" be donated to science.

The letter was typed out and contains no signature. One paragraph from it reads:

Do everyone in our community huge a favor and MOVE!!!! VAMOSE!!! SCRAM!!!! Move away and get out of this type of neighborhood setting!!! Go live in a trailer in the woods or something with your wild animal kid!!! Nobody wants you living here and they don't have the guts to tell you!!!!! Do the right thing and move or euthanize him!!! Either way, we are ALL better off!!!

In a video, Begley reads from the letter, quickly breaking down in tears. It really is hard to watch. "Who says that about a child," Begley asks about the letter's call for the boy to be euthanized.
