A brand new theatre company in Shreveport is staging their inaugural production in one of the most iconic buildings in Shreveport.

Newly formed Shrapnel Stage Company and SRAC present the play "The Other Place" at The Engine Room in Central Artstation, formally the Central Fire Station in Downtown Shreveport. The play is written by Sharr White and directed by John F. Daniel.

The Tony nominated "The Other Place" is a riveting, fast paced mystery about a scientist who has discovered a potential breakthrough in the treatment of dementia and now makes her living promoting that therapy. During a lecture, Juliana Smithton sees a young woman in the audience dressed only in a yellow bikini and embarks on her own mysterious journey that blurs fact with fiction, and the past with the present.

The production features Mary Flanders as Juliana Smithton; Donald Webb as her husband, Ian; and Amy Falkenstine Pope and John Daniel in multiple roles. Please note that due to strong language and adult themes this show is not recommended for children.
