If you don't know the Seratones, you should. The Shreveport band is absolutely AMAZING! But don't take my word for it. Everyone from Rolling Stone to Paste to Glide Magazine have been singing the praises of AJ Haynes and company.

Now, if you haven't gotten onto the Seratones bandwagon yet, tomorrow is the perfect day to hop on. Because tomorrow, August 23rd, the band will be releasing their sophomore album "Power".

And, according to all the early reviews, the new record is absolutely STELLAR! From all accounts, if their debut album put them on the map, the new record sends them to a different planet. The Seratones use and abuse their signature "Shreveport Sound" (my term, not theirs) to bring new age funk, punk, rockabilly and soul to the masses.

I was a big fan of their debut album, but the new record just blew me away. Again, I may be slightly biased because I love AJ, T. Stew and the rest of the crew...but believe me, I'm not the only one singing their praises. In fact, here's the perfect summary of the new record by American Songwriter Magazine: "Like the chemical from which their moniker is somewhat derived, Seratones’ music will leave you feeling more elated and euphoric after a single spin."

Be sure to pick up the new album tomorrow! And if you want to see them live, you'll have plenty of opportunities:
