I love Snapchat. It is my go to way of talking to friends and just goofing around with my phone, but I have noticed that a new feature is creating an uproar on my Facebook Feed.

Snapchat released a new feature, Snap Map, that allows you to see where your friends are located around you and around the world. Not only that, you can zoom in and out and find exactly what street your friend is on. Also, locations can set up stories available for public view.

This is causing an understandable concern for parents.

According to Independent, there are steps you can take that will keep you hidden on Snap Map.

"Once you’re on the latest version of the app, you can launch Snap Map by pinching the Snapchat camera home screen. From here, you can choose to share your location with all of your friends, some of them, or none of them with ‘Ghost Mode’, which hides you from the map but still allows you to track your friends."

I think there is no need to feel concerned when you have the knowledge to protect yourself.
