Some artists work with paint, others in clay or marble. But British artist Simon Beck has a medium like few others: snow.

Beck, who says he creates his designs 'in his head', dons snowshoes, then begins trekking through the white stuff, often for as many as 20 miles and as long as 10 hours creating his patterns.

Says Beck, 'The mountain improves my artwork. And, hopefully, my art improves the mountain.'
