Think you know the story of Peter Pan? Think again!

I'm betting the majority of us know about Peter Pan and his adventures in Neverland. However, sometimes it is the spin offs or prequels the seem to hold our attention. With that in mind, you are going to love Peter and the Starcatcher. The best-selling novels have been transformed into a 5-Time Tony Award Winning play, which is now being brought to the stage right here in Shreveport at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse.

Entertainment Weekly calls the story "absurdly funny" and "fantastical."

Peter and the Starcatcher turns the story of Peter Pan completely on its end and instead tells the tale of a miserable orphan who becomes Peter Pan. It's a grownup, swashbuckling prequel you won't want to miss. Plus, it stars one of our local stars, Blayne Weaver.

You may remember Blayne Weaver for his feature film, Cut to the Chase, but what you may not know about him is that he is the voice of Peter Pan for Disney Animation. Blayne has been bringing one of our favorite Disney characters to life since 2002's "Return to Neverland." But don't think for a second that he is reprising his role in person.

This time Blayne will be playing the role of Black Stache, or as we may know him, Captain Hook!
