Pope Francis Chows Down With Average Joes at Lunch

Some very important people are keeping busy trying to show the world they’re just like everybody else.

First, we had Queen Elizabeth photobombing a field hockey player. Now, Pope Francis is lunching with some folks at his workplace.

The pope decided to eat lunch with the Vatican employees on Friday, enjoying pasta, cod and grilled tomatoes.

He chatted with several of the workers (talking soccer and the economy) and even took pictures.

One big difference: the pope didn’t have to pay for his meal. It turns out the cashier didn’t have the guts to ask him to cough up the cash. Gee, can you blame her?
