According to a Facebook post from the Baton Rouge Police Department, at around 11:30 pm on that night, Millard was last seen in the downtown area of Baton Rouge.

The Police Department, in that post, solicited information from anyone who could possibly know the whereabouts of Millard.

Then, eleven days later, Millard's body was discovered wrapped in an old rug and plastic wrap.  Police believe the body had been moved after Millard's death, but felt there was "no foul play" involved in his death.

According to an autopsy, Officials say that there were no signs of internal or external trauma, and that he likely died from an accidental drug overdose.

Of course, anyone with half a brain knows there had to have been some type of "foul play."  A person doesn't just wrap themself in plastic and a rug and then lay down behind a funeral home and commit suicide.  So, we knew there had to be more to the story and evidently there is.

In a new twist in this mysterious death, the Louisiana Radio Network has reported that Baton Rouge Police have arrested a person of interest in the death of Millard.

BRPD Sgt. L’Jean McNeely says 45-year-old Derrick Perkins was with Millard the night he died, and patrolling officers located him today, in the overnight hours…:

“They saw a vehicle that he was driving in…they were able to pull him over without incident and place him in custody”

McKneely says officers took Perkins into custody without incident. They arrested him because they determined he had outstanding warrants…:

“We just had questioning for him, but he is currently in parish prison for probation violation, criminal damage to property, three counts of access device fraud and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.”

Police do say that Perkins isn't necessarily a suspect in the death of Millard, but according to McNeely, there's an issue with Millard's vehicle, a 2003 Toyota sedan, that police want to discuss with Perkins.

McNeely says, “…and that vehicle has been recovered, but when it WAS found and recovered, it had been burned.”

McKneely says that is all he can share about the case at this time.
