Wow! We already talked about how hot is was over the weekend in Death Valley, but that’s not the only place it was hot. The Primetime Emmy Awards were upstaged by triple digit temperatures. Olivia Culpo almost passed out on live TV, Mario Lopez was sweating like a beast and everyone had fans, which just doesn’t look good with couture… Heck, Alan Cumming reportedly wore ‘upscale Crocs.’ It’s that an oxymoron?

Author Jackie Collins, the queen of ‘beach reading’ died over the weekend at 77 years of age due to breast cancer which according to her family, she had been secretly fighting since 2007. Collins sold more than 500 million copies of her books world wide making her one of the most successful authors of the 20th century.
