Prom Is Pricey!!

Prom time for teenagers and I have one who is going.  It's this weekend.  It hits the wallet hard.  But I guess it's worse for parents of girls.  But this little article cheered me up. 

New York City proms are more outrageously expensive than ever.  Some girls at private schools in the Big Apple are spending from $1,500 to $3,000 dollars on the prom dress. The rental car business is booming for proms too.  One prep-school teen in New York paid more than $8,000 to rent a Range Rover Limo for the big night.  It's $9,000 a night to rent the double-decker Hummer in New York City. The most outrageous expense I found was pre-prom primping.  Girls are getting Botox and Restylane injections to fatten their lips.  Each treatment is $600. The big ticket item is the after-party.  Some of these rich Manhattan kids are hosting private post-prom parties in the Hamptons with full catering services.
