This past weekend I went to a Mexican grocery store in Bossier that is known for its meat market. I am all about getting some meat that is ready for the grill. I have no shame in lying saying I marinated it myself. El Novillo is that kind of store where you walk up and pick some meat from behind the counter and call it a day when it comes to prepping.

I Stepped Inside The Store and Followed the Wonderful Aroma of a Mexican Restaurant.

I passed the bakery that had pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread) being put out by a lady who had clearly just taken it out of the oven. Yes, I stopped and took in all the sights and smells of the bakery.

In the Back Corner of This Mexican Grocery Store, There is a Hidden Restaurant Kitchen.

There isn't an actual menu that I could see. There are signs on the windows with what special dish they are serving, obviously, their specialty is tacos, however, they had Chile Rellenos, and all kinds of breakfast items.

I Ordered a Hangover Cure and Sat Down at One of the Two Tables.

Yes, this restaurant only has 2 tables to choose from, you'll have to make your way through the soft drinks and chips to get there. You may have to ask to share a table as I did.

This Restaurant Has No Name and It's One of Bossier's Best Kept Secrets.

Have you ever tried this restaurant out? The restaurant is inside of El Novillo at 2242 Barksdale Boulevard.
