If you don't feel like cooking for hours and making a mess of your kitchen, you might be like thousands of others and decide to eat out on Thanksgiving Day, rather than spend hours on prep work and cleanup. It's so much easier and actually much cheaper to eat out.

Several local restaurants will be offering the full Thanksgiving spread to make sure you get plenty to eat for your holiday meal.

For a little more elegant dining out experience, you might want to check out Bella Fresca on Line Avenue. You do need to have reservations. Call 865-6307 to reserve one of 2 seating times, 11am or 1pm.

Boomtown Cattleman's Buffet Thanksgiving menu includes the turkey and all the trimmings. It's $20.95 with a mychoice card. Serving from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4-9 p.m.

The Buffet at Eldorado Casino will be serving for Thanksgiving from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. It will feature a carving station with prime rib, roasted turkey breast, glazed ham and smoked pork ribs. The buffet for Thanksgiving is $22.95 per person plus tax and gratuity.

You can find a traditional Thanksgiving meal at Copelands on Bert Kouns beginning at 10am. It will be crowded, so expect to wait a little while. The price tag for the Copelands buffett is $25.99

Another spot to take the family is Cracker Barrel on Westport. The national chain will begin serving Thanksgiving meals at 11am. It will cost you $10.99/person. This will include turkey, dressing, veggies and all the other holiday trimmings. You can also order take-out feasts if you would rather eat at home.

DiamondJacks' Legends Buffet All-you-can-eat buffet with all the holiday favorites. $20.99 from 11 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Flying Heart Brewing 4-9 p.m. offering wings and pretzels for the holiday.

Golden Corral will be open from 10am-8pm on Thanksgiving Day. You will find all the traditional food items like turkey and dressing for $13.99/person.

Horseshoe's The Spread Buffet is serving the traditional Thanksgiving meal including turkey and dressing.  In addition to traditional Thanksgiving Day fare, the buffet also will feature a hot seafood station, rustic pizza area and a carving station.  $28.99 per person. 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Margaritaville World Tour Buffet will also be open with the full Thanksgiving Day spread.

Piccadilly Restaurants is open Thanksgiving Day from 11 AM - 6 PM.

Posados in Bossier City will be open from 10.a.m.-10 p.m. You'll find the full menu of Mexican dishes but you can also try charbroiled quail (two for $13.99, three for $16.49) with some spicy Mexican mushrooms on the side.

Ralph and Kacoo's in Bossier City will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11am-4pm and will have a the regular menu and a special Thanksgiving meal for $16.00. A child's plate is $9.00. They are taking reservations at 747-6660.

Saltgrass Steakhouse at the Boardwalk in Bossier City is open for Thanksgiving featuring a menu with Certified Angus Beef brand steaks, seafood and much more. You probably should ahead to make a reservation. (318) 742-8787.

Southfield Grill is open for the holiday. You will find traditional turkey dinner on the menu plus the many other home cooked delights.

Sue's Country Kitchen in Bossier City will be open for Thanksgiving and will serve a traditional turkey dinner. The special menu on Thanksgiving includes your choice of ham, turkey and dressing or chicken fried steak along with three sides and bread for $12.99. Included in the price is a slice of sweet potato or pumpkin pie.

You should expect most of these restaurants to be packed with people so plan on a little bit of a wait.
