National recording artist Sevyn Streeter was not allowed to sing the National Anthem prior to an NBA game Wednesday night.

According to the artist, she was not allowed to perform the National Anthem prior to the Philadelphia 76ers' game because of the shirt she was wearing.

Across the front of her shirt read, "We Matter." And that's what prevented her from being allowed on the court.

Minutes before she was set to sing the National Anthem the organization informed her that she would not be able to perform the anthem with that shirt on. The singer said she was never informed of a dress code.
