The National Weather Service in Shreveport is warning all of us in the Shreveport area to brace for some possible severe weather Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Service forecasters have issued a "Slight Risk" for severe weather in the area beginning Wednesday afternoon and continuing through mid to late afternoon.

According to the forecast, scattered to numerous strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday. From what we have learned, large hail will be the main threat with any thunderstorms that develop Wednesday, however, there is a slight threat for some isolated damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes.

Another Series Of Severe Storms Is Expected To Develop Thursday Afternoon

Another round of severe thunderstorms is expected to form in the immediate area Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening. Forecasters warn that there is an "Enhanced Risk" during this time with the potential to be a widespread severe thunderstorm outbreak across our area.

Strong tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds will all be possible across
our area.

In addition, moderate to heavy rainfall will be possible across portions of the area. This will bring a threat for isolated flash flooding across our area, with the best chances across our northern zones which would mainly be north of the Texarkana area.
