The Shreveport-Bossier Captains baseball team is sold to a group of investors...and the team will be moved to Laredo, Texas. They will play in the American Association as the Laredo Lemurs. Team President Scott Berry says he is committed to bringing baseball and affordable family fun to this community, and will be working to bring a summer collegiate league team to Fair Grounds Field in 20-12.

One man is shot after a dispute at the Normandy Village Apartments. Police were called to the complex at about 7pm...but didn't find anything when they got there. A few minutes later, 33 year old Jammison Hammitt showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. No suspect is in custody yet.

A leading educator in our region has died. Dr. Leonard Barnes, for Chancellor at Southern University in Shreveport has passed away. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Crater of Diamonds Big find at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. A group of friends found a 6.67 carat diamond this week. it is the 9th largest diamond ever found at the park near Murfreesboro. Daniel Kinney III found it with some buddies. Kinney has found more than 30 diamonds at the park
