Shreveport Farmer’s Market Welcomes Large Crowds

It's a clear sign summer is here and we are ready to snap up fresh fruits and vegetables. But there is so much more at the Farmer's Market at Festival Plaza in Shreveport.

You can find soaps, candles, plants, flowers, beef, shrimp, cookies, cakes and fudge and so much more. It's all made by local folks and some of the most popular items often sell out early in the morning. I missed out on some of my favorites because I didn't go early when the bell rang to open things up at 8am.

But it did bring a smile to my face to see so many people out buying from all the vendors. I look forward to this weekend.
