This weekend, an area which hasn't seen much life in years, will be resurrected for both the living and the dead. La Louisiane House of Voodoo opens their doors to the public this weekend, spooking those who dare to enter with their unique Louisiana-Haitian style haunt. The haunt is located in the West End of Texas Ave at 1835 Texas Avenue near Herby K's.

House of Voodoo is only open for a limited time: October 26, 27, 29, 30 and 31 with tickets starting at just $15! The once nearly abandoned area has been slowly coming back to life with more and more doors being opened, including the landmark restaurant Herby K's, Swim School, Eleven and now House of Voodoo. We love that the West End is seeing big changes.

Heliopolis reports that The House of Voodoo will be more than just a haunted house as it already has movies in talks regarding filming on location which would help to bring more film projects to Shreveport. One of the co-owners of the haunt was a set designer for movies like Apocalypse Rising and Daisy Does Daisy.

In addition to the haunted house, visitors will also be able to experience European psychic readings for $10 and a voodoo art gallery.
