Shreveport Police Attempting to End Standoff

UPDATE: The standoff has ended peacefully. Just before 10, police negotiators were able to get two men and one woman out of the home. The three have been detained by police. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Shreveport Police are on the scene in Shreveport's Hyde Park neighborhood. According to reports, Police were called to Kingston Road, near Kingstowne Place, around 4:30 this morning. Police were there to investigate a shots fired call.

A spokesperson for SPD says that a small group of men were seen running into a home in the neighborhood and refuse to come out. Negotiators are on the scene attempting to bring the standoff to a peaceful end.

At this time, officers will not confirm whether or not the men are armed. But, since officers were responding to a shots fired call, it is assumed they are.
