Shreveport Police are investigating a Monday afternoon bank robbery. Just after noon today, a masked man walked into the Citizens National Bank in the 9200 block of Ellerbe Road in Southeast Shreveport, and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The bank is part of a business complex, no other businesses were involved in the theft.

The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun, and wearing a currently unsubscribed mask. At this time, authorities report there were no injuries during the robbery, and the amount of cash, if any, that the suspect fled with is also unknown at this time.

There is no physical description currently available for the suspect, outside of the fact he was male. Police have said that the suspect fled the scene in a dark colored vehicle.

Shreveport Police are using K9 units to search areas they believe the suspect may be hiding in, after finding a vehicle that seems to match the description.
