A Shreveport man was arrested after firing a gun from his vehicle during a domestic dispute.

On Monday, January 23, at 2:43 a.m. the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of Riding Club Lane and Old Carriage Trail to investigate a report of gunfire. Sheriff's patrol deputies contacted all parties involved, found evidence of gunfire, and notified the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Sheriff’s Detective Jeremy Edward responded to the call and learned the incident was a domestic dispute in which Nicholas Ellis, 21, shot a gun in the direction of the victim. Ellis fired up to four rounds from a pistol out of the driver’s side window of his car while driving along Kingston Road and Riding Club Lane. There were no injuries and the only reported damage was to Ellis’ car that he shot.

Ellis, of the 500 block of Honeygold Drive in Shreveport, was arrested, and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentalities.
