Let's face it: The last couple of years have not been kind to the small business owner.  The hard working men and women who put in countless hours to make their entrepreneurial dreams come true are truly the backbone of this nation.  Without the spirit that drives these so-called "mom-and-pop" operations - there simply wouldn't be a Walmart, McDonald's, or any of the wildly successful American companies we take for granted today.

Now, the small business that have survived the crushing COVID-19 pandemic are starting to flourish again - proving that you just can't keep a good business down.

To celebrate the indomitable drive that pushes small businesses in the Shreveport - Bossier City area, COHAB is hosting a free event called "Coffee, Confections and Connections" to kick off National Small Business Week (held the first week of May).  This networking mixer seems like the perfect way for local business owners to meet like-minded entrepreneurs that may be able to work together in a way that not only promotes better and more efficient business strategies and partnerships, but also strengthens the Shreveport economy by keeping more business-to-business dollars local.

According to the Bossier Parish Tribune, this delicious opportunity will be held at COHAB's non-profit entrepreneurial hub at 500 Clyde Fant Parkway in the Red River District on Thursday, May 5th from 8:30 to 9:30 am.  The eye-opening coffee will be provided by Lyons Pride Coffee, and delectable donuts by Dripp Donuts are reported to be on hand as well.  The event is free, and will also feature door prizes and tours of the COHAB working space.
