Shreveport Woman Wounded in Overnight Shooting

A 23-year-old Shreveport woman was wounded in an overnight shooting in the 3700 block of Mayfield Street.

Shortly before midnight, detectives arrived at Calisha Hunt's home, where they found her suffering a gunshot wound to the arm. She was taken to University Health and is expected to recover.

Investigators say Hunt was involved in a fight with a group of females she's been feuding with for a while. The group, along with a male suspect, showed up at her house to fight. During the exchange, the male is believed to have pulled a handgun and fired several shots, one of them striking Hunt.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black male with dreadlocks. Police continue to search for him and the females involved in the brawl. Call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 if you have information that can help identify them.
