Shreveport native, Calvary alumni, and LSU great Greedy Williams was selected at #46 in this year's NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.

Greedy was projected as a top pick at the end of LSU's regular season, but started to slide last night during the First Round of the NFL Draft. There were a lot of suggestions about the reasons why Greedy was sliding, but none of that matters now, because he's heading to the NFL.

In Cleveland, Greedy will be joining multiple high profile LSU Tiger alumni. Over the last couple years, the Browns have acquired wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham, Jr.

He'll join a defense that has a couple Top 5 NFL Draft Picks on it. Former #1 overall pick Myles Garrett, and last year's #4 overall pick Denzel Ward. If Greedy wants to start, it will likely be across from Ward, and it means he will have to earn the spot from veteran Terrance Mitchell.

The Browns have the Buffalo Bills on their schedule this year, which means Greedy will get a chance to share the field with fellow Shreveport great, Tre'Davious White, who currently plays for Buffalo.
