Shreveport is getting magical once again this August, as the Wizard's Ball returns!

Part of the annual traditions around Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, the Wizard's Ball is a magical night to celebrate fandoms before Geek'd Con kicks off. This year's event will be August 12th at Red River Brewpub in Shreveport. The night before Geek'd Con starts.

Here's what Red River Brewpub is planning for this year:

Wizards, Super Hero's and Jedi are asked to dust off your wands and light sabers and show your true powers at the second annual Wizard's Ball at Red River Brewpub. Come regaled in your finest costumes or dress up as your favorite character to gather, feast and mingle. Costume contest, trivia quiz with prizes, live music with Josh Love, specialty food, specialty drinks, and so much more! All ages welcomed!

Tickets for the event will be $50, but come with A LOT!. Not just the party, but tickets include Red River Brewpub Flagship Beers and a specialty buffet! Food and drink INCLUDED in your ticket! Not to mention the party and games too.

In the past, the Wizard's Ball has be a 21+ event, but this year Red River Brewpub is making it an ALL AGES event! So you can bring the whole family out for this magical event.

Comic Book Movie Stars Who Have Worked In Shreveport

We utilized IMDB's filming location database to help put this together. However there is one movie listed there that we didn't include. IMDB lists X-Men Origins: Wolverine on their Shreveport list, but we struggled to find citing for this. So we just left it off. Some of these stars weren't in comic book "movies" specifically.

But we counted the Netflix Marvel shows, and MCU Disney+ shows as well.

We also added in an odd option...pro wrestlers. Pro wrestling has been a big deal in the Shreveport area for a long time, so we're going to include the wrestlers who've worked in the Shreveport area, and went on to comic book movie fame.

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is back for 2021 at the Shreveport Convention Center in Downtown Shreveport. The guest list looks incredible, and there are going to be plenty of chances for autographs the weekend of August 13-15.
