Snakes Are Out, Here is Where They are Probably Hiding
I was out minding my business walking my dog and then I saw it. I froze in place. I could not move. There it was a HUGE snakeskin. Was this a 17-foot python living in my apartment building? Shed snake skins are one of the first signs of a snake being nearby, so I scurried away. I talked to the lawn crew and they assured me it was from a small garter snake. I know what I saw, the huge anacondas are everywhere. I keep being told I am exaggerating, but no snake in the wild is a friend of mine. What should worry us are the poisonous snakes that are hiding in places that we would never notice. Your biggest chance of seeing a snake face to face would be in the middle of the day since they are probably basking in the sun or on the hunt for their next meal.
Here are some places you need to triple check for snakes. Keep in mind officials warn you to not just stick your hand in to look for snakes. Use a bright flashlight to check for snakes.
