No, it wasn't the multi-million dollar jackpot this person won, but somebody from right here in our neck of the woods in Homer, Louisiana, is probably throwing a big party this morning!

In last night's (July 13, 2021) Mega Millions Drawing, a ticket purchased from the Brookshire's Food Store #6 on West Main Street in Homer, was worth a whopping $20,000!

In an article from 973thedawg, we learn:

The ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers that were drawn. The winning ticket also correctly matched the Mega Ball.  For last night's drawing that Megaplier number was "times two".

Now, this isn't the first time that Homer could boast of a big lotto winner. In January of 2018, Lewis Odom of Homer won $2,037 with a Lotto ticket he purchased at Harde' Mart #200. And back in November of 2012, Thurman Webb won a cool thousand bucks playing Pick 3 with a ticket he purchased at the Homer Travel Plaza.

All told, Louisiana players actually fared very well last night, as there were a total of twelve Louisiana winners of at least $200 in last night's drawing, so if you purchased a ticket or two for last night, it's definitely worth your time to check and see if you might have been one of the twelve.

The winning numbers for last night's drawing were 55, 17, 03, 10, 26 and the Mega Ball was 24.

Since there was no jackpot winner in last night's drawing, the next jackpot will be worth an estimated $117 million in the next drawing this Friday, July 16, at 10:00 pm Central time.
