Son of Former Saints & LSU Great Dalton Hilliard Dies

The son of former LSU star and New Orleans Saints star Dalton Hilliard Sr has died. The news of the passing of Dalton Hilliard Jr, the 29-year-old son of the former Tiger and Saints great was confirmed by Nicholls State Football via social media yesterday.

The cause of death was not noted in the release. Hilliard Jr played football for Nicholls State from 2010 to 2013. This following a standout high school career at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans. 

Hilliard's father, Dalton Hilliard Sr, was a standout running back for the LSU Tigers from 1982 to 1985. The elder Hilliard went on to success in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints.

Funeral services and final arrangements have not been made public at this time.
