You know how everyone says Bruno Mars' tune "Locked Out of Heaven" sounds like a Police song? Well, Sting must agree. The Police front man joined Mars onstage at the 55th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 10 for a stellar performance of the hit tune.

The way Mars and Sting galloped through "Locked Out of Heaven" probably only helped to solidify the urban legend that Sting had a hand in crafting the tune. The pair then moved into a rendition of the Police classic "Walking On the Moon," completing the circle.

Mars was grilled last year about the song's aural familiarity to popular Police songs like "Message in a Bottle," but took the criticism in stride, joking, "You try to write a Police song!"

Regardless, the crowd of pop stars gathered at the Staples center was definitely into it, with several on their feet singing along. We wouldn't be surprised if at-home viewers were doing the same.

Later in the performance, Rihanna, along with Ziggy Marley and Damian Marley, joined the group on stage to perform Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved" as a tribute to the late singer.
