The next three months will arguably be the best of the year. Warm weather means lots of time spent outdoors with loved ones and friends. Many parents get super creative when it comes to entertaining kids on summer break, especially when you're on a budget. That's why free activities are a life-saver.
Country Living recently found the top activity in every single state that is free.
In Louisiana its Uncle Sam Jam. If you're into country music, food and fireworks then this will be right up your alley. This annual event takes place in Metairie at Lafreniere Park on or around the Fourth of July. On the concert lineup this year is Thompson Square, Sara Evans, and Joe Nichols.
The park offers a lot itself like ball parks, dog park, carousel, disc golf and more. It's also open all day before the event. The shows begin in the afternoon, followed by fireworks. What do you think? Will you take a road trip this summer?
